These pants are simply fantastic. They look great, are well constructed and are not itchy like the typical fears about wool pants. I wear a very comfortable 34" waist in LL Bean pants and slightly loose 35" Levi jeans but (as Johnson Woolen Mills says in their website) these wool pants are not 'vanity sized.' So, my 34" wool pants are a wee bit on the snug side, but it will be a friendly reminder to keep my winter desserts in check.

I have only compliments for these pants and zero complaints with only one wish: could these pants be made with a liner so they are even warmer? I had originally tried a pair of Filson wool pants but they were way too expensive and the wool was too heavy/thick. These Johnson Woolen Mill pants are the perfect wool weight but an inner liner would make them ridiculously amazing, and not just amazing as they are. Well done!

I've got the pants little roomie in the legs and seat but they keep you warm. I ordered two sizes bigger than my waist not regretting it even though I think one size would have been sufficient they are very high-waisted. I got a double Cape shirt love it, love the beagle hat ear flaps, and the gloves and mittens.might even be a flannel shirt in there

It's a shame so few people know about it. LL Bean used to source these through JWM, but they buy imitation products from another country now. Go to the source and have quality products.

Haven't put them to the test, yet. I am waiting on a size exchange because I accidentally ordered a size too large. I consistently wear a 34 or 35 in most brands and misunderstood the site and other reviewers' reccomendation to size up two sizes and went with a 38, instead of a 36. They do fit well in the legs, but indeed are a size too big in the waist. Length was perfect for what I ordered (32). The rise of the 38s I ordered was pretty substantial. I could easily pull these to my belly button...hoping the 36s will be proportional so I dont have to always wear with my shirt tucked in. Probably wont be using suspenders with these.

As far as the construction and materials, you can tell right away these are top notch in quality and build. The stitching, hardware, and fabric are all built to last. I love worsted wool for it's light weight, durability and breathability, and quietness. A little itchy and coarse against bare skin, but a thin baseleayer takes care of that. Definitely a good choice over Mackinaw wool, unless it's much colder/wetter out. They will make great pants for hunting season and in the field. Looking forward to the right size and putting them to use!

This shirt will last me for the rest of my life I own two of them same pattern I wear one for upland hunting and the other for deer hunting classic pattern !

I purchased this for my wife for Christmas, so I cannot yet address fit; however, this is a beautiful coat that rates a 5 out of 5 in every other respect. It is very well made, quite substantial, and the design and color patterns make it both practical and unique - perfect for a woman who spends time outdoors in a cold climate. Incredibly, the coat arrived, literally, just 24 hours after I ordered it over the telephone - and shipping was free! The sales lady who took the order was extremely pleasant and helpful, and I feel compelled to point out that my shopping experience was much improved over my past experiences with the previous ownership.

First, these are not 100% wool. That is no where stated in the product information. It’s 85%/15% nylon. Since I consider anything over 80/20 to be a premium product in today’s fast fashion world, that was acceptable. 2nd, it’s felted well enough to stop wind, resist water & provide some nice warmth despite being single layer. I’ve worn down to 0°F before switching over to my insulated snow pants. Now, the real reason I bought these was because as a priest, I wanted something that would look like slacks/trousers when going about town. These work well for that purpose so long as some sort of sweater or sport coat/suit coat is worn on top. To enhance that, as soon as it warms up a bit, I’ll get these pressed just like formal pants. There are no actual black wool overalls currently on the market (at a reasonable price) other than these. Other companies have shares of dark gray but not black. Highly recommended! Customer service was also fantastic.

What a great hunting shirt! Not too heavy for moving but warm enough when you stop and still hunt for awhile. Layers well with light base layer and/or mid layer underneath. I’m 5’9” 175lbs with 42” chest and long arms for my height. Large fits like a glove and long enough to cover my butt.
