Flannel looks great and is very warm. Runs a bit big so buy 1 size down from what you usually wear.
Excellent quality item. I did wish that the buttons were sewn on better. It is a lovely coat/shirt. My son loves it.
This is a very well made shirt, I expect it to hold up for years. the only downside is the circumference of the cuffs. I had to move the buttons to make them smaller and now it fits me. I bought an unlined version of this wool shirt and it was the same.
I purchased 8 flannel lined wool button down shirts for my second year Technical Center Forestry students. Before issuing them their well-earned winter wear, from over a year of logging, firewood production, sawmill operation, maple sugaring and starting greenhouse plants, I told the story of Vermont Forestry, agriculture, trapping, and hunting. The students started to pick-up on the idea that I must be about to present them each with an embroidered Johnson wool, and when I did, they were proud and surprised, knowing what a prized possession anything from the Johnson Woolen mill is. Thanks to Gene for making this happen. I highly recommend this warm and durable shirt to anyone who spends time in the outdoors and supports Vermont made products. I hope they wear them for years.
