Love this coat. Outstanding quality and craftsmanship, and great customer service too. I highly recommend reaching out if you have questions on the sizing as it was very helpful. The only negative about the coat is the hood. As others have mentioned the size of the hood is odd. It’s almost like the wool at the peak of the hood is pulled together too tightly, which makes it fit very tight. Also,it would be awesome if the collar had a button and strap to connect the two sides together when the collar is up. Regardless, this is an amazing coat that will last a lifetime!

I got a medium, which is my usual size. It's a little big, but it kinda works for being a heavy wool shirt. I've been wearing it almost like a light jacket. Great comfy layer I feel like I'll be wearing a lot.

Actually, I' saving these to give to my wife at Christmas, but they looked beautiful to me when I took them out of the package. She's given two pairs to me over the years and I still wear ten both. (The older pair is worn though in the crotch; I just make a point of not spreading my legs in public.

This is a great tracking coat, still hunting and on the move. I used this coat guiding moose in Vermont for 6 hard daylight to dark days. I hunted hard for 2 weeks tracking still hunting and sitting and this coat fit right, no baggy spots to get snagged anywhere. If you are a sitter I’d recommend something different or layer up. Overall great fit, kept me dry and warm pounding miles in the mountains. Great job Johnson and Northwoods for getting this right and creating the best tracking coat on the planet!

Bought this coat as a daily wear. I am a petite 5'5" lady, the xs fits great. The coat is extremely warm, well made, and the folks in the store were great. Worth every penny!

This is a great Old School jacket. I am using it instead of my vest. Gives extra warmth. My normal size is L/XL I ordered XL and it fits over 2 layers of shirts and a sweater perfect. Quality seems very good, I expect it will also serve someone else well years down the road. It reminds me of stuff Filson made several decades ago.

I purchased a Johnson Woolen Mills Jac-shirt about 28 years ago and recently handed it down as it is still in excellent condition. I purchased a new one because of the excellent quality build of the previous one and Johnson Woolen Mills did not disappoint on the new one either! This new one is a high quality garment. I liked it so well that I immediately ordered another one in a different color and will be ordering another one when my size in that color is back in stock. When I saw it in person and tried it on, I could see, feel and appreciate the high quality. As an FYI to other customers, I am 5’6 and 225lbs with a thick chest and wide shoulders. A 2X in this red Jac-shirt allows me to wear a base layer shirt and wool shirt under it which what I was looking for. The arms are a bit too long for my build, but not bad. The customer service representative was amazing and took the extra time to get a shirt off the rack and worked with me on the phone to make sure I ordered the correct size. (Sorry I did not get their name) The quality build and customer service has been outstanding in my opinion. I love that this is a made in the USA garment and that this company has been around for a long time! I am a believer in their products and appreciate being able to talk to a person on the phone every time I have called.
