Let customers speak for us
from 1637 reviewsBeautiful & warm. Quality like my purple lined flannel from years ago!
Soft and well made. I like the fit as well - both the arms and the shirt length are a bit longer than you might typically get in a button up dress shirt.
Shirt jacket is extremely nice. Very comfortable. I will definitely buy Johnson wool again.
Super comfy! I usually order a medium in woman’s tops but got a small cause it’s unisex and can fit men too
Great socks and comfortable
I ordered the hoodie after seeing my daughter's hoodie that she bought while vacationing in Vermont last summer. It is very soft and great for wearing over a sweatshirt when it gets cold. I got a large which is kind of big on me, but good for layering. I see that it is sold out, which is too bad because I would like to get another one for a friend.
I purchased a size 40. I'm 6'2" and I have a bit of an old man belly.
I have a double belt to avoid sagging, but traditional cut pants ride higher - on the traditional waist - compared to say jeans. Sagging is just unavoidable with any belt.
I'm not into lumber jack bracers so I got a pair of low profile cotton canvas bracers from NYC. Prefect comfortable fit!
The weight of the wool is good for the climate in Seattle. They keep me warm and breathe perfectly. I can also wear them indoors comfortably compared to any other fabric.
It's my opinion that this fabric weight having a small percentage of nylon in the weave just makes the fabric stronger without compromising warmth and dryness.
I wanted them to be roomy so when the temperature drops down to say 20F, I can just wear a loose light base layer underneath. I prefer cotton broadcloth as in quality pajamas or medical scrubs. They perform the job.
The bracers make adding a base layer - well - comfortable.
I suggest that the pants come with a rear sinch like old school pants. Just a thought.
I highly recommend these pants for outdoor wear when trekking about.
I've worn old school military and hunting field pants in my job and was originally going in that direction. These pants are definitely more suited to my current lifestyle.
I am a Maine Guide and lifelong wool jacket fan. It feels like quality wool is getting harder to find, but this jacket fits great with plenty of room for layers and the quality is high.
My family has been wearing Johnson Woolen shirts, coats and pants for over 100 years. There is nothing better in the fall and winter than wool. Breaths, keeps you warm if wet, captures the sun in the winter to help keep you warm hunting, snowshoeing or ice fishing. Price seems high but these are woolens that wear like iron and you can pass down to your kids. You can buy cheap knockoffs several times or genuine Johnson wool once.
Well tailored blaze orange vest for hunting or working in the woods. It's nice to have made in USA garments available! Thank you!
Nice jacket constructed well. Would have like to have two buttons on the sleeve for proper adjustment. Well worth the money!
They have kept me warm and dry while trudging through snow in the Adirondacks and in this past weekend’s brutal cold and winter storm. Couldn’t have asked for warmer bottoms. The seams are well sewn, the fabric thick. 10/10 purchase.
For those interested, I wear 30/30 in denim but opted for 32/30 in these pants. Wear a belt if you have to, but I think you’ll appreciate the extra space by sizing up.
