I bought this as an insulating layer under my hunting clothes. It is versatile for this purpose as it adds a good layer of warmth under heavy clothing without an extra layer of sleeves, thereby not restricting arm movement. In moderate weather it's great under a camo shell where you don't necessarily need a base layer but need to address that slight chill. Easy on & off and simple to stuff into your day pack. Have used it for a few years now and won't go on a hunting or camping trip without it.
