This is the single greatest jacket a man can own. It's wool. It's lightweight but warm as hell, and not too warm. It lasts forever. I've had one for more than 20 years and just ordered a second. It's effectively waterproof, or just as waterproof as Gore-tex, just in a different way. Gore-tex will also get waterlogged and heavy after a while. So will this. But they both keep rain off your body for a long time. And this will remain warm. It's durable and thorn proof. It's comfortable inside and warmer than any synthetic jacket outside. I feel warmer in mine than in even most down jackets. True, a down jacket folds up much smaller, so it's better for travel and backpacking. But for just being outdoors, canoe tripping, hunting, walking, there's nothing like this jacket. And by the way it's light years better than the Filson wool jackets, which are way too heavy, have no stretch, super short sleeves, and are just basically bricks. Oh and the Filson jackets are button-up which makes them much less warm in the wind. I own the Filson but I never wear it.

I'm 6'3 205. I ordered the large long and it fits a little long in the sleeves but perfect length in the body (and room enough for a base and mid-layer). I removed the cuff buttons and sewed them a little tighter so the sleeve wouldn't fall over my hand; easy fix and no biggie. I gave 4 stars because for the price of the jac, the company could have put on better zipper. I think the jacket will last me forever but I highly doubt the zipper will last more than a year, if that. I am already trying to figure out how to replace it with something better before I get caught out hunting or something and it fails on me. If this Jac shirt were constructed with a decent zipper or better yet, buttons, I think it would make it a great jacket and justify the price. Nevertheless, I'm glad I bought it and I will treasure it.

I’ve worn the double cape jacket for years, this newest purchase will replace one my Australian Cattle Dog thought needed to be shredded when he was home alone.

I have worn it every morning walking my dog since i received it. It is warm, breathable, and fots perfectly. Must Have!
