Every time I step out of the room with the wood stove, I get cold in my cotton shirt layers so I wanted a wool pullover instead. It's summer so I can't speak to the warmth yet, but I will say while the small fits well and with good coverage, the fabric is VERY thin and doesn't feel like a medium weight at all which is what I had wanted. I'm hoping they will keep me warm but glad to find 100% wool. I bought (and returned) two pullovers marked 100% merino inside the neckband from a (presumably) Chinese company and tested a thread only to find they were 100% synthetic. I called Johnson Woolen Mills to verify that these were actually wool. I didn't want to be fooled again. I trust Johnson Woolen and am very happy to find American made wool shirts.
