My only wish would be that the watch pocket be a little wider and that the pant could be obtained in a charcoal color. Otherwise I expect to get long life from these pants as I have with previous purchases of your products.

Incredible quality. You clearly get what you pay for!

My wife is a theatrical costumer and seamstress who has seen her share of pants. She said that the material and construction of these pants is of such high quality that she would not have expected to see it on garments made after the 1950's. She was impressed, and that's difficult to do. Sizing... I'm about 5'9"-5'10" and about 250 more or less depending on what I had for lunch. What my Mom used to call "stocky"... I typically wear my pants a little lower than my "natural" waist, on my hips instead of around my gut, and I like to have a little room for expansion. I measure at 42" where my belt sits and I find that most size 40 waist pants cut a little loose (not 'athletic" or worse yet, "skinny") is what I tend to find comfortable. I ordered a 40 in these pants and found them snug. I could get them on and fastened up, but they were tighter than I liked and I'm not sure I could have got a pair of long johns on under them. I felt constricted, if you understand what I'm saying. I swapped them out for a pair of 42s and they fit like they were made for me. They aren't cheap and it's too bad that it costs this much to make quality pants. That said, if you're on the fence because of the cost (maybe because you've been dissapointed by expensive "quality" clothes before) take it from an internet stranger, they're worth every penny.

I cannot express the amount of appreciation and gratitude I have for Johnson Woolen Mills. Awesome pants, super comfortable. Waist runs large. Perfect weight for 3-season use outdoors. I don't know why whipcord became so rare, but it's a great fabric. These are expensive (assumedly because the infrastructure isn't what it used to be for this kind of product) but I would say worth it! Johnson Woolen Mills, PLEASE release a khaki! Navy would be great too! I'll buy one for any color you release!
